Dark Brown Wensleydale Lamb Yarn - Worsted

2-ply, Worsted wt., 5.2 oz, 250 yds 

This dark brown worsted weight yarn was custom millspun semi-worsted from natural colored Wensleydale lambs raised on our farm.   The lambs were shorn in the autumn after a summer of sun-lightening the tips, to produce a rich dark brown color.  This yarn is soft, lustrous, halos beautifully, and has drape.

Our Wensleydale sheep are registered with the North American Wensleydale Sheep Association (NAWSA).  Percentages range from 88-98%.
